The first step is to sign up.

• Download the Restspace App from the App Store and create an account.
• Tell us about yourself, such as your name, DOB, email address, and phone number, upload a profile photo, and agree to the terms and conditions.

How do I get started hosting?

1. Switch to host mode from the profile page. Select “Switch Profile” to “Host”.
2. Select "Create a business", the name you use here can be different from the name of your space. 
3. Decide how you want to get paid by setting up your payment preferences in the “Business Services”. -> “Earnings Tab” -> "Connect"
4. Restspace partners with Stripe to securely process payments on our platform. From Stripe Connect you can manage your earnings, transaction history, and send payouts directly to your bank account.
5. List your space.

Tell us about your space

Your listing is an advertisement for your Restspace.

• Choose the type of space you'd like to list, such as a private bathroom.
  • Note: Restspace allows guests to book in 15-minute intervals. 
• Start with the basics, like your location and the number of guests you can host.
• Take photos of your space – guests love looking at photos of the Restspaces. Make sure to make it look nice! Try and use landscape orientation when possible.
• Let everyone know what makes your space unique – and take note of important things for guests to know, like stair locations or parking.

Organize the details

• Add your own set of Restspace Rules to your listing. Include details like restrictions on pets and smoking.
• Set times that make sense for you – To ensure you only get reservations when you want them make sure to update your availability. Also, select how you want reservations to be approved – the two choices are Automatically upon request or Manually, where you review each request individually.
• Set your price. What you charge is always up to you. You can always change the price by entering your profile and selecting your listing from the Business Services tab.
• Submit your listing for review.
  • Restspace's team will review your (usually takes 72 hours) listing to ensure it meets their quality standards and complies with local laws and regulations.
• Once your listing is approved, you're ready to start hosting! Respond promptly to booking requests, communicate clearly with guests, and provide a clean, comfortable space for them to enjoy.
• Remember to regularly update your availability and pricing based on demand and respond to guest reviews and feedback to improve your hosting experience.

Prepare your space

• Pick up your place. Thoroughly clean each space that guests will access. Make sure there is no hair, dust, or mold on surfaces and floors. Also, make sure there is toilet paper, hand towels, and soap.
• Make sure you have backups of the essentials like soap, toilet paper, and hand towels!
• Provide check-in details. Be prepared to let guests into your Restspace. If no one is around, you can always use a lock box or smart lock (ask us if you need one). You can edit your check-in instructions in the Restspace App.
